When you book your starting time, by phone or in person, you may notice that times are spaced at 10 minute intervals. This feature means that the course has an extremely smooth flow, and the pace of play is brisk, but not hurried. Four hour rounds are the norm here.
Further enhancing the golf experience is our "book 4 - no more" policy. We do not cater to groups, tournaments or outings. This works to the advantage of the many golfers who are looking for a round of quality golf - with their foursome.
Come and see for yourself what all the excitement is about!
Coral Creek is a proud member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, created and administered by Audubon
International. Its mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through research, education,
and conservation assistance. Under its program we are striving to implement best management practices in
environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, chemical use reduction and safety, water conservation,
water quality management, and outreach and education. Our goal is to have our efforts in environmental stewardship
recognized by being certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Here at Coral Creek we encourage everyone to
join with us in protecting and enhancing our environment by following the Golfer's Creed:
Golf has been good to me. As a golfer, I will RESPECT and be good to the game of golf.
Responsibility - I will follow the rules of the golf course and take responsibility for all of my actions on the course, including the safe operation of a golf cart and the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Etiquette - I will abide by the rules of etiquette, awaiting the proper time to hit, refraining from foul language and boisterous behaviour, and generally conducting myself as a lady or gentleman on the course.
Sensitivity - I will be sensitive to the environment and the course where I play and to those who maintain and manage it.
Pace - I will keep up with the group ahead and maintain an appropriate pace of play.
Educate - I will do my best to educate other golfers on the principles of this creed, by sharing it and living up to it at every opportunity.
Conditions - I will strive to leave the course in better condition than I find it, by fixing my ball marks (and those of others), replacing my divots, raking bunkers, and properly disposing of trash.
Traditions - I will embrace the rules and traditions of this ancient and honorable game and respect my fellow golfers and the courses we are privileged to play.
Coral Creek has a role to play in regards to protecting and enhancing the environment as well. To further our
goals in this area we embrace a program known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM involves integrating
information about pests and the environment, turfgrass management strategies, and pest control strategies.
These strategies are timed to minimize pest damage and to have the least possible effect on people,
property, and the environment.
Typically, IPM involves determination of threshold levels of pests, on a course-by-course basis. When pest levels (insects, weeds, or diseases) are below the threshold, they are tolerated. When pests exceed threshold levels, they can cause significant damage and an unacceptable playing surface. Courses using IPM utilize a combination of control methods that may include natural controls, biological controls, and non-toxic turf protection products whenever possible. Pesticides are used only when needed and in highly targeted applications.
IPM is built on the principle that healthy turf can tolerate a certain amount of pest pressure, and as such,
is an important tool that can be integrated into every turfgrass management program.
